  
Photography has been a passionate, lifelong pursuit.Capturing the essence of a subject or scene is the challenge.
A great photograph records a magical moment, a split second when the elements of light, timing and photographic skill come together as the shutter is pressed. The intrigue lies in the probability that such moments occur only once.
The bonus for me is that while searching for exceptional photographs, new places call to be explored and time is reserved for quiet observation of nature and people.
Recent awards include first prize in the KPL/Record Photo Contest (2009), first prize winner in CBC's David Suzuki Nature Photo Contest (2010), and 'Photographer of the Year' in 2009 and in 2010 at GRIPS Camera Club of Kitchener.
